Following in the footsteps of John Wesley, Methodist education has long advocated for the broad, rounded educational experience exemplified by the liberal arts. But what does that mean for schools in the competitive and secular environment of the 21st century? This research symposium examines this topic from the diverse perspective of researchers and educators.

メソジスト教育は、ジョン・ウェスレーの示した模範にならい、リベラルアーツに代表される幅広い教養を身につけることを長年提唱してきた。21世紀の競争的・世俗的な教育環境において、このことは大学にとって何を意味するのだろうか。このシンポジウムでは、研究者と教育者の多様な視点から、このテーマを考察する。
