Aoyama Gakuin provides education and research according to a consistent "The Educational Policy of Aoyama Gakuin," in line with the "founding spirit," based on the Christian faith. Each school from kindergarten to the university and graduate school level has its own educational principle and goals appropriate to the age of the pupils and students. The Educational Policy of Aoyama Gakuin Aoyama Gakuin has as its aim education based upon the Christian faith and as its purpose the building up of persons who live in sincerity before God, who seek for truth with humility, and who actively take responsibility for all people and for society in a spirit of love and service.
Under the Educational Policy of Aoyama Gakuin, Aoyama Gakuin Kindergarten has aimes of the childcare and education to help children feel the grace and protection of God by living with people in a place surrounded by abundant nature, and spend a life of prayers, thanksgiving and joy. Aoyama Gakuin Kindergarten sets the following goals for children: ・Living in prayer while experiencing being loved by God and the people around them ・Living under the blessings of nature, feeling the presence of God close to them and valuing the environment granted them as a blessing ・Living with thanks and joy and having a feeling of trust and compassion for the people around them ・Living positively and listening, watching and thinking carefully ・Fully demonstrating the abilities and talents given to them by God and appreciating each other as being irreplaceable
Under the Educational Policy of Aoyama Gakuin, Aoyama Gakuin Elementary School nurtures people who make use of the grace given by God, pray with gratitude, and serve God and others. Five promises (1) Be honest (2) Be kind (3) Be polite (4) Think carefully before acting (5) Look after ourselves
In accordance with the Educational Policy of Aoyama Gakuin, we strive to build individual character and to support self-realization. We also aim to nurture people who use their God-given abilities for the benefit of others, who are glad to live in community with their neighbors, and who contribute to a peaceful society.
1. To nurture the will to love and serve God and others through worship and study of the Bible. 2. To nurture independence through strong academic preparation which respects individuality and seeks to draw out personal potential. 3. To nurture intellectual, spiritual and physical development through well-balanced school activities. 4. To nurture empathy for others through service.
